What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1993 Acura Integra, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHEN THE WEATHER IS IN THE HIGH 80S OR 90S, MY CAR WON'T START. IT TURNS OVER OKAY; THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM/BATTERY IS FINE. AFTER ABOUT 20-30 MINUTES OR LONGER, THE CAR WILL FINALLY START BUT IS NOT NECESSARILY OKAY FOR TRIPS. AT THE FIRST STOP THE SAME PROBLEM MAY OR MAY NOT OCCUR AGAIN. WHEN THE TEMP GOES DOWN IN THE FALL, THE CAR IS FINE AND RUNS BEAUTIFULLY. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY CAR ONLY BUT HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. I THINK THE ISSUE IS CAUSED BY SOMETHING IN THE FUEL INTAKE SYSTEM BUT HAVE NO EVIDENCE TO PROVE THIS. FOR ABOUT FOUR MONTHS OF THE YEAR I AM FORCED TO DO ALL MY SHOPPING IN THE VERY EARLY MORNING OR AT NIGHT AND STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM SOMETIMES THEN. *TR
1993 ACURA INTEGRA, ENGINE WILL DIE WILL DRIVING - INTERMITTENTLY. DRIVING ALONG, ALL OF A SUDDEN, RPMS GO TO 0, NO SHAKING, STUTTERING, BUT ENGINE IS OFF. WHILE COASTING IT SOMETIMES COMES BACK ON. OR, AFTER PULLING OFF ROAD AND STOPPING, IT'LL RESTART. CAR ALSO INTERMITTENTLY DOES NOT START. SOMETIMES WAITING 10-15 MINUTES HELPS, SOMETIMES LONGER. *AK

CARS DON'T START IN HOT WEATHER TURNS OVER BUT DON'T START. AND AT TIME MY CARS RPM STARTS TO GO DOWN SLOWLY THEN IT SHUTS OFF AND IT TAKES ABOUT 20 MINS AT TIME TO TURN ON SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING. I HEAR THAT IT HAS SOMETIME TO DO WITH A POOR SOLDER JOB ON THE COMPANY THAT MADE THE MAIN RELAYS. *TR
