TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 AMERICAN TRADITION 45A RV N/A. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE IN A RAIN STORM, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS CEASED TO OPERATE AS DESIGNED, REDUCING THE DRIVER'S VISIBILITY. ADDITIONALLY, THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO UNABLE TO ADJUST THE BRAKE PEDAL OR STEERING WHEEL. RHODE ISLAND TRUCK CENTER LOCATED AT 1100 WARREN AVE EAST PROVIDENCE RI 02914 AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE RV WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,328.

STRUCTURE:BODY
The purpose of this Product Upgrade owner notification letter is to inform the owners of certain model year 2015 American Eagle, model year 2015-2016 American Heritage, model year 2015-2016 American Tradition, model year 2016 American Allegiance, model year 2016-2019 American Dream, model year 2017-2018 American Revolution, and model year 2020 American Revolution class A diesel motorhomes about Product Upgrade 190827REV. On motorhomes affected by this Product Upgrade, the rear air deflector, mounted to the rear fiberglass cap, was attached with a series of brackets and screws. The brackets used in this application had slots in certain areas where they attached to the cap. Over time, these brackets could shift or slide within the confines of the slots. This movement can cause the rear air deflector to become slightly misaligned. On motorhomes affected by this Product Upgrade, the rear air deflector, mounted to the rear fiberglass cap, was attached with a series of brackets and screws. The brackets used in this application had slots in certain areas where they attached to the cap. Over time, these brackets could shift or slide within the confines of the slots. This movement can cause the rear air deflector to become slightly misaligned."

The purpose of this Product Upgrade Service Bulletin is to inform all REV Recreation Group dealers about the need to inspect, and if necessary, replace and supplement the existing fasteners attaching the rear air deflector on certain model year 2015-2020 American Coach brand and certain model year 2018-2019 Monaco brand Class A diesel motorhomes. A list of affected vehicles appears at the end of this bulletin. On motorhomes affected by this Product Upgrade, the rear air deflector, mounted to the rear fiberglass cap, was attached with a series of brackets and screws.
