The defect: ARBOC Specialty Vehicles, LLC (ARBOC) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Spirit of Freedom vehicles, equipped with certain GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."
The risk: The seat back could release when force is applied to the shoulder belt, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.
The remedy: ARBOC will work with the equipment manufacturer, Freedman, to inspect and repair the seats as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 09, 2024. Owners may contact ARBOC customer service at 1-866-953-5555.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The purpose of this is to alert dealer/owners that there are potential unprotected circuits. This is for 2019-2026 SOM/SOF units that we are adding thermal protection.

Inspect to make sure that retainers are properly secured & that there is no damage to the cables. Please see picture below as to how it should look. If the cables are not secured & no visual damage, please add retainers. You can use Qty 3 of 7/8" VNYL COATED P-CLAMPS

Step 1: Fish out two purple wires (Interior of bus) from the top of the curbside spinout and move them to the bottom front of the wheel well cover– best to use pull cord/tube to fish them through. These wires should be wrapped in a black protective “snakeskin” covering (see picture). Step 2: Locate the controller on the fire suppression extinguisher bottle and find the gray wire with the blunt cut end (see picture). Step 3: Strip this covering back to expose the red, white, and black wires (see picture). Step 4: Bend white wire back and tape off – it is not used (see picture). Step 5: Strip red and black wires and connect each one separately to a purple wire with butt connectors. It may be necessary to remove some of the extra purple wiring to provide the best fit within the harness. Step 6: When complete the wires should look like this (see picture). Step 7: If these instructions are followed correctly the engine shutdown will be in place (see schematic picture).
