The defect: Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2027 ACTT terminal tractors. The Antilock Braking System (ABS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may be improperly secured, allowing the ABS ECU to separate.
The risk: A separated ABS ECU may become damaged, causing the ABS system to fail and increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Autocar will replace the fasteners, free of charge. Owner notification letters to be mailed September 25, 2026. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2601.

The defect: Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2023-2025 E-ACTT vehicles. A software error may allow the vehicle to rollaway while on an incline and cause an engine stall.
The risk: A vehicle rollaway and an engine stall increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 30, 2025. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611. Autocar's number for this recall is ACTT-2501.

Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
