What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2001 Beaver Coach Monterey, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER : 02V278000 THIS RECALL DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER PERFORMED THE RECOMMENDED REPAIRS. HOWEVER, THE BRAKES ON MY VEHICLE CONTINUE TO OVERHEAT AND WE BELIEVE AN INVESTIGATION OF THE WEIGHT VS. STOPPING POWER OF THIS BRAKE SYSTEM BE MADE. I CONTINUE TO MAKE REPAIRS, AT MY EXPENSE, ON THIS VEHICLE. THE COST OF THE VEHICLE WAS $224,000.00. ALL OF THE MOTORHOME DEALERS ARE AWARE OF THE POOR BRAKE SYSTEMS. THEREFORE THE VALUE OF MY COACH IS SEVERELY AFFECTED. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER SOLD OUT TO MONOCO CORP. THE NEW MANAGEMENT WILL NOT WORK WITH US TO RESOLVE THIS ONGOING PROBLEM. THEY TELL US (MR. ROBERT RISBURGER) "ITS A MAINTENANCE ISSUE AND THE OWNER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
