The defect: ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE ROAD WHEEL FIXING BOLTS MAY BE DIMENSIONALLY INCORRECT. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR THESE BOLTS TO LOOSEN.
The risk: THIS COULD LEAD TO THE ROAD WHEEL BECOMING DETACHED FROM THE HUB INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
The remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE ALL WHEEL BOLTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 24, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BENTLEY AT 248-754-6464.

The risk: THIS CONDITION COULD LEAD TO LOSS OF DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

Safety recall

Safety investigation
NHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
