ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC
Functional noises (squealing/honking) when braking shortly before the vehicle comes to a stop. CAUSE Material-
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
The quick disconnect coupling on the cylinder head coolant vent line could break at the cylinder head. This would lead to loss of coolant from the engine.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY; ENGINE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
? ?SERVICE ACTION: REPLACE THE STARTER MOTOR F30/G12 PHEV. Due to high impact energy when engaging, the circlip for the starter motor pinion positioning may break which may cause the pinion to move in the direction of the starter jaw, causing a a damage of the starter motor. Also, a consequential damage to the flywheel (torsional vibration damper) and automatic transmission may occurr.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SEATS
SEAT MEMORY SWITCH SPORADICALLY NOT FUNCTIONING: Selecting one of the saved seat positions (via the memory seat position switch on the door panel), fails to work.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL
FUEL GAUGE INCORRECTLY DISPLAYING LOW FUEL LEVEL AFTER VEHICLE IS REFUELED: Occasionally, on restart after refueling, the fuel gauge will display the fuel level as low (minimum) and the range display will be at an implausible (maximum) value.
