Coolant leaking from the oil/water pump weep hole on the K69 engine (2022 S1000XR, ~8,000 miles). Leak appeared during a typical ride around town. A second 2021 S1000XR (~10,000 miles) on the same ride showed the same leak, and that bike's coolant reservoir was found near empty, indicating ongoing loss. The pump is a combined oil and coolant pump inside the engine sump; the coolant-side shaft seal is failing. Safety concern: coolant loss can cause overheating and power loss at speed, coolant dripping onto the rear tire, and if the seal fails fully, coolant contamination of engine oil. BMW has issued service bulletins on this pump and dealers have replaced many under warranty. Dealer confirmed the weep hole as the source. Vehicle is out of warranty by time (not miles); dealer declined goodwill. Repair requires sump removal and full pump replacement, ~$1700. Buyer beware.
