Due to an implementation error in various OBD diagnostics in the vehicle's control units, in very rare cases itmay happen that stored fault memory codes (DTCs) and the MIL (warning light) are not automaticallydeleted even though the underlying malfunction has already been rectified. This does not comply with the statutory OBD specifications.

After replacing the Multifunctional Display (MFD), the Central Information Display (CID) is black. The backlight of the CID is illuminated, and touch function does register an audible sound.

An error in the Battery Management Electronics (SME) can lead to an interruption in communication, which can lead to the high-voltage system being turned off. The error is indicated by a Check Control message, and it is generally possible to continue driving until the vehicle is parked.

The malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) is triggered and 0318E2 AC charging, charging electronics 1,component protection: Overload current on AC side fault may be stored during AC charging Level 1(120 VAC). Note: Despite the fault memory entry (and the malfunction indicator lamp), the AC charging process willcontinue operating as designed and there is no related drivability complaint. Affected PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) vehicles with CCU-03 (7.4 kW combined charging unit).
