What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1994 Bus Industries Orion V, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

THE PROBLEM IS THE BLUE LIGHTS ON NUMEROUS VEHICLES. THESE LIGHTS ARE BLINDING . NOT ONLY TO ME, BUT TO MANY OTHER PEOPLE I'VE TALKED WITH, FROM 18 TO 70 YEARS OLD. FROM MY CALCULATIONS OF THE VEHICLES WITH THE BLUE LIGHT IN THEM, ABOUT 60% ARE BLINDING, WITH THE CLASSIC JEEP, BUSES AND SEMI TRACTORS BEING THE WORST. I AM BLINDED FROM 5 TO 10 SECONDS AND IN SOME CASES 15 SECONDS. I HAVE DRIVEN OFF THE ROAD ON SEVERAL ACCUSATIONS. I NOW JUST STOP IN THE ROAD UNTIL THEY HAVE GONE PASSED OR AROUND ME. THEY ARE WORST ON RAINY ROADS FROM THE GLARE. THESE LIGHT NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM THE HIGHWAYS BEFORE ANYTHING SERIOUS HAPPENS. I KNOW CARRY A CARD THAT IF I AM INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, THAT IT COULD BE FROM THESE BLUE LIGHTS. I WOULD EXPECT SOMETHING IN THE NEXT 3 TO 6 MONTHS. IN THE MEAN TIME I WILL HOLD THIS AGENCY, IT'S LEADERSHIP AND ANYONE INVOLVED THAT IS INVOLVED IN THE INFORMATION IN THE EMAIL RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY VEHICLE DAMAGE, ANY INJURY OR DEATH INVOLVING ME RESPONSIBLE. THANK YOU
I WAS RIDING ON A MEGABUS FROM NYC TO DC ON 05/01/18. THE BUS LEFT NYC AT 3:30 AM TO ARRIVE IN DC AT 7:45AM. THE BUS DRIVER WHEN WE GOT CLOSE TO DC KEPT STEPPING ON THE BRAKES EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO CAR IN FRONT OF HIM THAT HE WAS CLOSE TO. THEN WHEN WERE JUST OUTSIDE OF DC HE PULLS OVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD ON A BUSY HIGHWAY AND SAYS THAT HE HAS DRIVEN TOO MANY HOURS AND WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER DRIVER TO RELIEVE HIM. SO A BUSLOAD OF PASSENGERS SAT ON THE SHOULDER OF A BUSY HIGHWAY FOR 15 MINUTES WAITING FOR ANOTHER DRIVER. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
