What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2011 Cadillac Escalade Ext, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Airbags
Reports naming the air-bag system — deployment behaviour, inflators, sensors and warning lights.
From owner reports, verbatim
TAKATA RECALL - MY VEHICLE IS LISTED AS HAVING THE TAKATA AIRBAG INSTALLED AND RECALLED - GM RECALL # 2049151 - NHTSA # 16V381. WHEN I CALLED GM THEY SAID THE RECALL WAS ON HOLD AND I COULD NOT GET MY CAR SERVICED UNDER THE RECALL. THESE AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO BE DEADLY AND I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY GM IS HOLDING BACK FORM ALLOWING ME TO KEEP MY FAMILY SAFE AND PERFORM THE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE.
TAKATA RECALL - WHEN CHECKING THE STATUS OF MY RECALL IT SAYS INCOMPLETE REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE. I WANT MY AIRBAGS REPLACED ASAP. HOW DO I DO THAT? WWW.AIRBAGRECALL.COM SITE SAYS THIS ABOUT MY VEHICLE. RECALL STATUS RECALL INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
