2026 Cadillac Escalade Iql Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2026 Cadillac Escalade Iql, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

The Cadillac Escalade IQL has a blind spot on the passenger side of the vehicle that is the worse I’ve ever experienced. The side mirror is set to view the vehicle on the side but even at the optimal safety settings I can’t see a car to my right unless I can see them out my passenger window or the turn signal camera is on.

Vehicle: 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL (battery-electric SUV). At approximately 4,500 miles the vehicle began displaying battery/high-voltage system warnings and charging system errors. An earlier incident involved a critical battery warning instructing service. When presented to the dealership, the vehicle was initially described as potentially requiring extensive diagnostic disassembly. The dealership later reversed that position and stated the issue could be addressed by repeatedly "cycling the ignition" approximately 30–40 times. No permanent repair or engineering explanation was provided. More recently, during an attempted charging session, the vehicle terminated charging due to a battery system error and displayed a red warning indicator requesting service. This prevented the vehicle from accepting charge and therefore prevented normal operation. In a battery-electric vehicle, the ability to charge is the functional equivalent of refueling. When the vehicle refuses charging due to system errors, the vehicle becomes effectively unusable and raises potential propulsion and safety concerns. When the vehicle was presented again for service, the dealership stated they had been instructed by the manufacturer not to perform service because the vehicle may be retrieved by the manufacturer. As a result, the vehicle continues to exhibit battery/charging system faults without a confirmed repair path. The issue involves the electrical system, propulsion system, and charging capability. The vehicle remains under very low mileage and the condition has not been corrected.
