What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Cadillac V-Series, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Other / unspecified250.0%

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

AS I WAS TURNING INTO MY DRIVEWAY AT A VERY LOW SPEED, I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND IMMEDIATELY THERE WAS A RUBBING, CRUNCHING SOUND AND MY BRAKE PEDAL, INSIDE THE CAR, BEGAN TO GIVE ME FEEDBACK OR PUSH BACK UNDER MY FOOT. THE CAR KEPT ROLLING UNTIL I LET UP OFF THE PEDAL AND APPLIED THE BRAKE AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPEND WHEN APPROACHING A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT AT VERY SLOW SPEEDS. I'M AFRAID THIS WILL HAPPEN WHEN BRAKING AT A MUCH HIGHER RATE OF SPEED. WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS OF VARIOUS CADILLAC OWNERS ON THE INTERNET, ABOUT THIS SAME SITUATION WITH THE BRAKES, WHY HASN'T CADILLAC PERFORMED TESTING ON THE BRAKES AND ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. ARE THEY WAITING UNTIL SOMEONE HAS A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WHERE AN INDIVIDUAL IS SERIOUSLY HURT OR EVEN KILLED? I THOUGHT CADILLAC HAD MORE PRIDE IN THEIR PRODUCTS AND WITH THE COST OF THE CADILLAC, THEY SHOULD PERFORM AND BE IN THE MOST PRISTINE CONDITION. *TR
