2015 Can-Am Spyder ST Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

The motorcycle is not easy to steer when making turns,, difficult to steer when less than 8 mph and impossible to steer when idle. The brake pedal goes almost all the way in when braking after new brake pads installed and nothing else identifiable has been found.

THE TURN SIGNAL FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY. THE SWITCH DOES WORK ON A 45 TO 90 DEGREE TURN HOWEVER IF YOU ARE DRIVING ON A TWO LANE MOTORWAY AND WANT TO SIGNAL TO CHANGE LANES I CAN NOT GET THE SWITCH TO CANCEL OUT. IT DOES NOT CANCEL. MOTORISTS AROUND YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR INTENDING TO DO SINCE IT IS SIGNALING LEFT OR RIGHT AS YOU TRY TO GET IT TO CANCEL. DURING THIS PERIOD YOU ARE NOT GIVING 100 PERCENT ATTENTION TO THE TRAFFIC AROUND YOU. THIS CONFUSION OF MOTORISTS AROUND YOU PRESENTS A FURTHER HAZARDOUS SITUATION. THIS SWITCH IS FAULTY. CAN AM SHOULD HAVE A RECALL ON THEM. HOPEFULLY REPLACING WITH A BETTER DESIGN. I BOUGHT THE CAN AM USED FROM A PERSON AND THIS IS MY FINDINGS AS THE SECOND OWNER
