The defect: Carry-On Trailer Corp. (Carry-On Trailer) is recalling certain 2024-2026 6X8GW2KPT trailers. The Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) listed on the certification label is incorrect. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 567, "Certification."
The risk: A trailer may be unintentionally overloaded after referencing the incorrect information, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Carry-On Trailer will mail replacement labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2025. Owners may contact Carry-On Trailer's customer service at 1-706-356-5379.

Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
