Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
SERVICE BRAKES
Due to feedback that the brake bleeding procedure in motorcycle service manuals is not always successful, CFMOTO-USA developed a procedure to supplement the service manual information.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
As reported in service notice SVC-2023-10, the message “MCU SYSTEM FAILURE” displays atop the TFT gauge on some 2023 IBEX 800 motorcycles.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
CFMOTO-USA Technical Service has been receiving and tracking complaints of 2023 IBEX 800 Motorcycles that are experiencing a “MCU SYSTEM FAILURE” message displayed at the top of the TFT gauge. Please see the image below. The Engineering department at CFMOTO has determined that the message is not an actual failure but is instead an error in the dashboard programming.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
