What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2004 Chrysler Concorde - Lhs, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

From owner reports, verbatim
ON NOVEMBER 4TH, 2009, I WAS PULLING INTO PARKING POSITION WITH MY WHEEL TURNED ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE VEHICLE IN THE PARKING SPACE NEXT TO ME. AS THE TURNING CONTINUED I HEARD A LOT POP SOUND AND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THIS SOUND WAS LOSS OF WHEEL CONTROL. I HAD TO SLAM THE BRAKES BECAUSE MY VEHICLE HAD STARTED TOWARDS THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. WHICH IS THE CAR PARKED NEXT TO THE PARKING LOT I WAS TRYING TO PARK INTO. OBVIOUSLY THERE WAS A FAILURE IN THE STEERING COLUMN OR SHAFT. THANKFULLY, I WAS TRAVELING AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED. I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR BEFORE I ENDED UP HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
