The defect: Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. (Coach and Equipment) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Phoenix, and 2025-2026 Metrolite transit buses, equipped with certain S-Series wheelchair platform lifts. The electrical contactor may fail, preventing the controls from stopping the lift.
The risk: A wheelchair lift that continues to move while occupied increases the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will correct the wiring by installing two diodes, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 31, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.

The defect: Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. (Coach and Equipment) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Phoenix and 2026 Metrolite buses, equipped with certain QRT-360 wheelchair retractors. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
The risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace retractors as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 5, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.

The defect: Coach and Equipment Mfg. Corp. (Coach and Equipment) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Phoenix transit buses equipped with a propane conversion kit with an aftermarket compressor. The alternator may contact and damage the fuel line.
The risk: A damaged fuel line may leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect the alternator clearance and install additional brackets as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 8, 2026. Owners may contact Coach and Equipment customer service at 1-800-724-8464.
