2008 Coachmen Leprechaun Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 COACHMEN LEPRECHAUN MOTOR HOME. WHILE DRIVING GREATER THAN 35 MPH, THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE VEHICLE MOVED FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER TOO MUCH. HE TOOK THE MOTOR HOME TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE STEERING BOX; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE COACHMEN BODY WAS TOO OVERLOADED FOR THE FRAME, WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO DIP DOWN WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT BELIEVES THAT THE FRAME SHOULD BE MADE WITH DIFFERENT SPECIFICATIONS AND A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
