TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 COACHMEN MIRADA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WITH NO WARNING WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, A FIRE ERUPTED FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE NEAR THE TIRES, TO THE INNER CAB OF THE MOBILE HOME. THE DRIVER AND FOUR PASSENGERS WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND A FIRE INSPECTION REPORT WAS COMPLETED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE ROAD HAD TO BE BLOCKED OFF WHILE THE FIRE INSPECTOR EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A YARD. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS WAITING ON THE MANUFACTURER TO INVESTIGATE WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE MOBILE HOME WOULD BE REPLACED DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN IF THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V279000 (EQUIPMENT) AND WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL TO DETERMINE IF THE MOBILE HOME WAS INCLUDED OR EXCLUDED.
