What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2014 Coachmen Prism, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WE HAD A FAILURE OF ONE OF THE REAR DUAL TIRES ON INTERSTATE 15 SOUTH OF IDAHO FALLS. THE MERCEDES SPRINTER 3500 CHASSIS AND CHROME REAR OUTSIDE DUAL WHEELS DOES NOT HAVE EFFECTIVE ACCESS TO THE DUAL TIRES TO CHECK AND CHANGE THE AIR PRESSURE. THE LENGTH OF THE INNER TIRE VALVE STEM MAKES THE JOB OF REINSTALLING THE VALVE CAP VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT REMOVAL OF THE OUTER CHROME DUAL WHEEL. THE OUTSIDE DUAL IS ALMOST AS DIFFICULT. AS A RESULT, MOST OWNERS CAN NOT AND WILL NOT CHECK THE TIRE PRESSURE ON THE INNER DUAL TIRE CREATING A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE. THE ONLY EFFECTIVE WAY TO CHECK TIRE PRESSURE IS TO REMOVE THE OUTER CHROME WHEEL A JOB THAT SHOULD ONLY BE DONE BY PROFESSIONALS WITH THE PROPER EQUIPMENT, NOT BY THE VEHICLE OWNER.

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
