The defect: COACHMEN INDUSTRIES IS RECALLING MODEL YEAR 2008-2009 TRANSIT BUSES EQUIPPED WITH TRANS/AIR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. EACH TRANS/AIR SYSTEM COMES WITH AN ELECTRICAL KIT AND EC PC BOARD WHICH IF IMPROPERLY INSTALLED COULD OVERHEAT.
The risk: AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE IN THE AIR CONDITIONERS RELAY BOARD, CAN CAUSE OVERHEATING AND POSE A SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD.
The remedy: COACHMEN INDUSTRIES WILL NOTIFY THE OWNER AND THE BUS WILL BE REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE. THE REPAIR WILL BE PERFORMED BY TRANS/AIR. PLEASE ALSO SEE TRANS/AIR DEFECT REPORT 09E-042. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 5, 2009. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TRANS/AIR WARRANT AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT 1-800-673-2448.

COACHMEN: MANUAL RAMP LATCH. MANUAL RAMPS ARE NOW BEING EQUIPPED WITH AN ADDITIONAL LATCH ON CURRENT PRODUCTION ARBOC SPIRIT OF MOBILITY MODELS. THIS ADDITIONAL LATCH IS USED TO ADDRESS MOVEMENT THAT MAY CAUSE NOISE FROM THE RAMP DURING TRAVEL. UNITS PRODUCED PRIOR TO THIS IMPROVEMENT MAY BE UPGRADED TO ENHANCE RIDER COMFORT. *PE
