2022 Coachmen Viking Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

We have a new, 2022 Viking 262BHS and our completely empty, fresh water tank just fell off while driving. It remained attached at one side and was dragging along the highway until other drivers on the highway signaled us to pull off. We’ve only ever used this RV at RV parks, so the tank has NEVER been full. This is a major safety hazard. Someone could have gotten into an accident if it became completely disconnected. It was only fastened to the bottom of the RV with fabric belt straps by the manufacturer. I can only imagine what would have happened if this tank ever had water in it or traveled with water in it. No way would it stay on.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
