I WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT FOR THE COSCO SCENERA NEXT CAR SEAT. THE LATCH, BETWEEN THE LEGS, IT'S EXTREMELY HARD TO OPEN. IT TAKES MORE FORCE THAN MY TWO THUMBS CAN GIVE TO OPEN IT. IF I WERE IN AN ACCIDENT, PRECIOUS TIME WOULD BE WASTED TRYING TO GET MY SON OF OF THE SEAT. I CONTACTED COSCO, THEY DID NOTHING. THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE THAT THIS ISSUE CAN LEAD TO THE PREVENTABLE DEATH OF A CHILD...

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 COSCO SCENERA 22123 CHILD SEAT. THE SEAT WAS MANUFACTURED ON MARCH 12, 2015. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SIDE IMPACT LABEL LOCATED ON THE TOP LEFT SIDE OF THE SEAT WAS ABLE TO BE PICKED OFF BY THE CHILD OCCUPANT. AS A RESULT, THE CHILD CHOKED ON THE LABEL. THE LABEL WAS ABLE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE CHILD'S THROAT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN.
