1996 Country Coach Intrigue Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1996 COUNTRY COACH INTRIGUE EQUIPPED WITH GOODYEAR G159 TIRES, SIZE: 265/75/R22.5 (NA). WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE INNER DUAL TIRE HAD BLOWN OUT WITH AN EXTENSIVE HOLE IN THE INNER SIDEWALLS. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WAS CALLED AND A TECHNICIAN CHANGED THE INNER DUAL TIRE. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN, DOT NUMBER, AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE NOT AVAILABLE. *TT CONSUMER STATED I NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT CHECKING TIRE PRESSURE. I HAVE MY OWN COMPRESSOR AND FILL THE TIRES RELIGIOUSLY. 4 OF 5 TIRES HOLD PRESSURE ALL WINTER LONG. THIS TIRE IS ONE OF THEM. NO OVER SPEED AND NO LOW PRESSURE CAUSED THIS FAILURE.
