2012 Cruiser Rv Shadow Cruiser Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

MODEL 280QBS. WE PURCHASED THIS IN JULY OF 2011 AND HAD GONE ON 4 LOCAL TRIPS. WE WENT ON A VACATION OUT WEST FROM DERRY NH. WE STOPPED IN RAPID CITY, SD FOR SEVERAL DAYS. ANOTHER CAMPER NEXT TO US HAD A SHADOW CRUISER FUN FINDER AND TOLD US HE HAD ISSUES WITH HIS TIRES. THE TREAD HAD WORN OUT. WE CHECKED OUR TIRES AND NOTICED THE INSIDE EDGE OF OUR TIRES HAD WORN DOWN ALSO. BEFORE WE HEADED TO YELLOWSTONE VIA CODY, WY WE HAD TO REPLACE ALL OUR TIRES. WE SAVED THESE TIRES AND UPON RETURN SPOKE TO OUR DEALER. THEY REPLACED THE COST OF THE TIRES FOR US. WE WERE TOLD THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE AXLES. THE WRONG AXLES WERE BEING PUT ON THESE TRAILERS. NOT ONLY DID THE MANUFACTURER KNOW THIS BEFORE SELLING THE CAMPER TO US, BUT OUR DEALER (CAMPERS INN OF MERRIMACK, NH) KNEW ALSO. THEY REPLACED THE AXLES FOR US BUT IT TOOK A FEW MONTHS TO GET THE PARTS IN. MY FAMILY COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED OR HURT DUE TO THIS ISSUE. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT NO ONE NOTIFIED US OF THIS. IF NOT FOR THE CAMPER NEXT TO US, WE COULD HAVE HAD A BLOW OUT ON THE HIGHWAY. WE HAD TO DRIVE HOME ANOTHER 3,000 MILES WITH THESE AXLES BUT WE DID HAVE THE NEW TIRES. WHY ISN'T THERE ANY TYPE OF RECALLS FOR THINGS LIKE THIS? *TR

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
