The defect: THE INVOLVED VEHICLES HAVE "COMMAND KITS" WHICH AUTOMATICALLY SET THE PARKING BRAKES DURING REFUSE LOADING. IF POWER IS LOST DUE TO A BLOWN FUSE OR THE IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED OFF, THE PARKING BRAKES WOULD BE RELEASED.
The remedy: THE COMMAND SYSTEM CONTROL CIRCUIT WILL BE MODIFIED SO THAT A LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER FOR ANY REASON WILL NOT CAUSE THE PARKING BRAKES TO BE RELEASED.
