The defect: Diamond Coach Corporation (Diamond Coach) is recalling certain 2025-2026 VIP motorcoaches equipped with certain QRT-360 wheelchair retractors. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
The risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will replace retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 25, 2026. Owners may contact Diamond customer service at 1-800-442-4645.

The defect: Diamond Coach Corporation (Diamond Coach) is recalling certain 2025 VIP buses equipped with QRT-Deluxe and QRT-Max wheelchair restraints. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.
The risk: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Diamond Coach will work with Q'Straint to inspect and replace the retractor as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 6, 2026. Owners may contact Diamond Coach at 1-800-442-4645.

Safety recall
A safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. NHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
