TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 DODGE D150. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP. THE FAILURE CAUSED HIM TO REAR END ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE ROAD CONDITIONS WERE DRY. THE DRIVER SUFFERED A CONCUSSION, BODY CONTUSIONS, AND STRAINED MUSCLES. HE WAS WEARING HIS SEAT BELT AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. BOTH VEHICLES WERE DAMAGED. THE CONTACTS VEHICLE WAS TOWED, BUT NOT REPAIRED. NO MILEAGE INFORMATION WAS AVAILABLE. THE CONSUMER STATED THE TRUCK SKIDDED SEVERAL FEET AFTER APPLYING THE BRAKES AND THE MOTOR SOUNDED AS IF IT WERE RACING. THE CONSUMER FURTHER STATED THERE WAS SUDDEN ACCELERATION BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. THE CONSUMER PROVIDED A RELEASE FORM, A COPY OF RECALL NOTICE, INSURANCE INFORMATION, AND PHOTOS OF THE VEHICLE. UPDATED 09/05/07 *TR
WHEN IT RAINS THE ABS LIGHT COMES AND DRIVER GETS A REAL ROUGH STOPPING, LIIKE THE BRAKE ARE GRABBING, EXPERIENCED PROBLEM SINCE PURCHASING VEHICLE IN 1993. *AK

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 DODGE RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 45-50 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND INCREASED TO 70 MPH. THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED, BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE WAS UNCONTROLLABLE AND THE ENGINE REVVED. THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR AND SMOKE EMERGED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST.
