What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2009 Dodge Sprinter 3500, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

The contact owns a 2009 Dodge Sprinter 3500. The contact had recently read online about two recalls for the driver’s and passenger’s side air bags. The contact confirmed that the VIN was included in the recalls. The contact called a local Dodge dealer and was referred to a local Mercedes-Benz dealer. Several Dodge and Mercedes-Benz dealers were contacted, but neither dealer was willing to perform the recall repair. The contact called the manufacturers and was informed that the dealers were unable to perform the recall repairs. The contact called an independent mechanic to replace the air bags and was informed that the parts to replace the air bags were no longer being manufactured. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure.
