2015 Drv Elite Suite Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Our database holds 2 NHTSA owner-reported complaints for the 2015 Drv Elite Suite. Each one is a report filed by an owner or driver and published by NHTSA without most of them being verified. A complaint is not a confirmed defect, not a recall and not a manufacturer bulletin. Narratives are shown exactly as filed.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

The heavy duty hydraulic front landing jacks for the self-levelling system on my 2015 Mobile Suites RV now drop when the RV is being towed risking a catastrophic accident should they make contact with the road while being towed. As evidenced by any online RV forum and numerous YouTube videos this problem is not unique to my rig. Indeed, the manufacturer has discontinued using this landing gear. I suspect it is because of this issue. Merely search for "front hydraulic jack failure Mobile Suites" online and you will get plenty of evidence. While its being towed one can see if the jacks are dropping using the mirrors. It's very difficult with a dually as the rear fender flare hides them (I have a Ram Dually 3500). We are full time in our RV staying warm in the Phoenix Area. I plan on having my rig repaired in the near future prior to heading back north this Spring. Unlike most, my rig doesn't sink when parked (yet) but the jacks do drop when I'm on the road towing. I've jury-rigged a mechanical support system to help ensure that they don't drop while travelling using ratchet clamps (the kind you use on dryer hose) chain and hooks. Scary. Here are a few links proving that this is a common problem. I didn't scroll through the entire forum. I'm sure there are others. https://suitesownersinternationaltravelclub.vbulletin.net/forum/soitc-general-forum/general-topics/3319-got-lucky-today-and-didn-t-lose-the-front-jacks https://suitesownersinternationaltravelclub.vbulletin.net/forum/soitc-general-forum/problem-repairs/68318-lippert-level-up-front-jacks-colapse-on-my-2015-drv https://suitesownersinternationaltravelclub.vbulletin.net/forum/soitc-general-forum/problem-repairs/67360-total-front-jack-failure https://suitesownersinternationaltravelclub.vbulletin.net/forum/soitc-general-forum/problem-repairs/65396-front-jack-replacement

On 6 of my Sailun tires the tread separated over the course of 2 years causing over $9,000 in damage to my RV. My insurance company, Progressive took one of the tires to attempt to get Sailun to pay with no results. I decided to contact you since there is a recall on the smaller sailun brand tire with the same problem.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
