2008 Ducati 1000GT Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

AFTER LESS THAN 600 MILES ON MY NEW DUCATI SPORT 1000S ,Y FUEL TANK HAS WARPED, CAUSING IT TO BECOME LOOSE. I HAVE SHIMMED IT AFTER THE FIRST OCCURRENCE BUT THE PROBLEM HAS BECOME WORSE AND THE TANK IS AGAIN LOOSE. I HAVE CONTACTED DUCATI OF NORTH AMERICA AND THE LOCAL DEALER TO NO AVAIL. APPARENTLY THE CAUSE IS THE ADDITION OF ETHANOL IN THE GAS. LIKE I SAID, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE BY THE DEALER OR THE MANUFAC. TO FIX OR REMEDY THE PROBLEM. *TR
