2019 Ducati Monster 821 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

WENT FOR A RIDE LAST JANUARY 1,2021 AND WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO APPROACH THE TRAFFIC STOP LIGHT I APPLIED BOTH FRONT AND REAR BRAKE I NOTICED THAT ONLY THE FRONT BRAKE IS WORKING.. SO WHEN I GOT INTO A VACANT LOT I TRIED TO USE THE REAR BRAKE BUT IT FAILED TO STOP THE MOTORCYCLE AND THE BRAKE PEDAL IS HITTING THE TOP PART OF THE EXHAUST SYSTEM.. IT HAS ONLY 702 MILES.. IM GLAD THAT I GOT HOME SAFE USING TRAIL BRAKING(FRONT BRAKE ONLY) I CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IT IS FULL AND NO LEAKS AT ALL.

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
