2016 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

REAR BRAKE DOESN'T WORK AT ALL, EVEN IF IM ON A HILL WITH A PASSENGER I HAVE TO USE FRONT BRAKES JUST TO KEEP US IN PLACE AS REAR BRAKE WILL HAVE US GOING BACKWARDS. I HAVE HAD IT BLED MULTIPLE TIMES, IF YOU SMASH IT WITH YOUR FOOT IT WONT EVEN LOCK UP THE REAR WHEEL.

NHTSA ID 11413202 · filed Apr 21, 2021

REAR BRAKE IS BASICALLY USELESS. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY A DUCATI DEALER $180.00 AN HOUR TO BLEED THE BRAKE FOR ME, SO I DO IT MYSELF. WORKS FOR A BIT, THEN GOES AWAY AND BARELY STOPS THE WHEEL WHEN I DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL. IT HAS BEEN THIS WAY SINCE NEW AND DUCATI HAS NOT OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZED IT AS A PROBLEM AS IT AFFECTS A FEW DIFFERENT MODELS.

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
