There have been two instances within the last 3 months of my motorcycle needing a full rebuild in the rear wheel assembly. The first instance was due to rust, I live in Arizona and do not ride in the rain. The dealer said I should not have washed my bike with water. This put me in danger and there was play in the rear wheel shaft. I paid up front $3k dollars, on credit, to have the dealership fix the problem. 3 months later, I am now having this issue again, not due to rust, but due to components having a catastrophic failure, the dealer is not taking responsibility and warranty will not cover it. This failure put me in jeopardy due to affecting the wheel speed sensor, braking components, and wheel. I cannot afford to fix a vehicle at a rate of $1k per month and am concerned about other's safety as these motorcycles start to age. The bike is approximately 4 years old and the newly installed components were 3 months old. There was no warning except a noise when rolling the bike with the engine off. The motorcycle would make a noise of metal grinding on metal.

I've had this bike since Feb 2020. Very intermittently, when coming to a stop, if I pull the clutch, in preparation for downshifting, the engine cuts out. It always starts back up though. this happened on the first day that I had the bike, and still happens at random. Sometimes it won't happen for weeks. Sometimes it will happen multiple times on a single ride. I'm not the only one with this issue. I've discussed this on online forums, and other owners have the same problem. Here's a recent video showing 3 stall events in a single ride. there's a longer video showing most of the ride, then 3 shorter videos showing the stalls https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA8qPt4Dn7CYYfzbvvESGyL8QAm-AHW37 thanks [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

While riding the motorcycle and decelerating when approaching a red light or stop sign, the bike will shut off when the clutch is pulled in. This does not occur every time, but it makes me lose confidence in the bike because if this were to happen mid turn or on the freeway, I can be seriously injured. Since the problem occurs intermittently, it cannot be replicated at the dealer and therefore they have not been able to identify the problem.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
