2008 Ducati S2R1000 Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE MOTORCYCLE PLASTIC GAS TANK IS EXPANDING AND IS NOW DIRECTLY CONTACTING THE FORKS OF THE BIKE WHEN TURNING- CAUSING IMPACT STRESS POINTS ON THE FUEL TANK THAT WILL EVENTUALLY LEAD TO FUEL LEAKAGE POTENTIAL FIRE AND POSSIBLE FATALITY IF LEAKAGE / IGNITION OCCURS WHILE RIDING. HAVE CONTACTED DUCATI NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY REFUSE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WHICH APPARENTLY IS COMMON IN THIS MODEL / YEAR OF THE S2R1000 MONSTER. REQUESTING IMMEDIATE ACTION AND RESPONSE OF NHSTB SINCE I AM GREATLY CONCERNED ABOUT MY SAFETY NOW WHILE RIDING THIS BIKE. *TR
