Rear brake pedal frequently exhibits excessive travel to the point the rear brake is useless. The remedy is to flush with fresh fluid, which will last from a day to a week, depending on ambient temperature and miles ridden.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
