I was issued a recall, Recall No. 26V065, on my 2026 Ember E Series camper. The recall was in regard to the Unloaded Vehicle Weight and the Cargo Carrying Capacity listed on the certification label being incorrect. My issue is that when i reached out to the vendor, they indicated this was the second recall affecting a total of 3 model years, but they have only been in business 6 years (since 2021). Are there safeguards to this? If a manufacturer has been in business 6 years, and 3 of those years they've had to issue a safety recall for improperly reported weights that could lead to crash, does that not raise any red flags? Whats to stop manufacturers from doing this on purpose to advertise higher payloads and then revert?
