The defect: Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2024 Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER C2 Jouley and 2023-2024 FCCC MT50E electric transit buses. The high voltage inverter cable may not be secured properly, which can result in a loss of drive power.
The risk: A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect and tighten the fasteners as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 1, 2024. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL987.

STEERING:LINKAGES:TIE ROD ASSEMBLY

The defect: Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022 FCCC Shuttle Chassis, 2022-2023 FCCC RV Chassis, FCCC Van Chassis, Van Chassis Gas, 2023 Freightliner Cascadia, Freightliner Business Class M2, Thomas Built Bus School Bus Chassis, Western Star 4700, Western Star 47X, Western Star 4900, and Western Star 49X commercial buses. The tie rod may be missing a fastener, allowing the steer arm to detach.
The risk: A detached steering arm can result in a sudden loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: DTNA will inspect and repair or replace the tie rod assembly as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 11, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL970.

The defect: Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2023 FCCC MT50e vans. An insufficient connection in the battery pack may cause the battery management system to shut down unexpectedly.
The risk: An unexpected shut down can result in a sudden loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the battery packs, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is FL-960.
