2003 Featherlite 1075 Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I PURCHASED A GOOSENECK TRAILER WITH TWO DEXTER 8,000# AXLES ON IT IN JUNE, 2003. SINCE THEN THE MAGNETS THAT OPERATE THE ELECTRIC BRAKES HAVE FAILED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. I HAVE REPLACED AT LEAST 7 DEFECTIVE MAGNETS ON THIS TRAILER. WHEN THE MAGNET FAILS I HAVE NO BRAKES ON THE WHEEL WITH A DEFECTIVE MAGNET. I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS PROBLEM AND AM AFRAID OF THIS CAUSING AN ACCIDENT FOR ME OR SOMEONE ELSE WITH THIS PRODUCT. I HAVE THROWN AWAY MANY OF THESE DEFECTIVE MAGNETS, BUT HAVE THE MOST RECENT DEFECT HERE IF YOU WOULD LIKE IT. NOTE: THE FEATHERLITE INFORMATION BELOW IS NOT CORRECT. I ONLY ENTERED IT BECAUSE MY TRAILER MANUFACTURER WAS NOT AN OPTION. IF YOU NEED MORE DETAILS ON THIS I WILL BE GLAD TO PROVIDE THEM.*AK

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
