2004 Fleetwood Discovery Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER DISPLAYS VARIOUS WARNING MESSAGES, LOW BRAKE AIR PRESSURE AND SIMILAR MESSAGES DURING VEHICLE OPERATION. MOUNTING LOCATION OF THE UNIT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE TO READ THE DISPLAY FROM THE DRIVERS LOCATION. ATTEMPTING TO SEE THE WARNING MESSAGE DIVERTS ATTENTION FROM THE ROAD AND IS HAZARDOUS AND COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. FULL TIME LIGHT OF THE DISPLAY HAS BEEN DONE BUT HAS NOT IMPROVED THE SITUATION. MANUFACTURER HAS SAID THEY HAVE NO FURTHER SOLUTIONS. REMOUNTING OF THE DISPLAY SHOULD BE DONE DO THAT IT IS READILY VISIBLE FROM THE DRIVER'S LOCATION. INFORMATION CENTER IS PROVIDED BY FREIGHTLINER BUT MOUNTED IN THE DASH BY FLEETWOOD.*AK
