2020 Fleetwood Discovery Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

The Dashboard Module provided by MEDALLION INSTRUMENTATION SYSTEMS Part# 66-02439-000 on the Freightliner Chassis is delaminating causing the critical gauges to become difficult to read. Additionally the screen will unexpectedly dim causing additional readability. I consider this to be a potential safety issue as it is unknown if and when the screen may go entirely blank. I have contacted Freightliner and they will not warranty the part even though it appears they own Medallion and this part is proprietary. There apparent fix is a $6,000 replacement which is 2.5% of the cost of the motorhome. In the photos attached I do not have a photo of the dimming screen since this would be a safety issue to snap a picture while driving
