The defect: VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: FOLDING TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS. SOME OF THESE ALARMS MAY HAVE BECOME CONTAMINATED DURING SHIPPING WHICH WILL DIMINISH THE SENSITIVITY OF THE ALARM TO DETECT CARBON MONOXIDE.
The risk: PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH COULD OCCUR TO THE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS IN THE EVENT THE ALARM DOES NOT WORK AND ALERT THE OCCUPANTS TO THE PRESENCE OF CARBON MONOXIDE.
The remedy: ATWOOD WILL EXCHANGE THESE CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS AT NO CHARGE TO THE CONSUMER.

The defect: VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: RECREATIONAL VEHICLES USING GAS/ELECTRIC ABSORPTION REFRIGERATORS SUPPLIED BY NORCOLD. THE SWIVEL NUT WHICH IS AN INTEGRAL CONNECTION COMPONENT OF A PRESSURE TAP DEVICE HAS "STRESS CORROSION CRACKING."
The risk: THIS CRACKING CAN LEAD TO AN OPEN FRACTURE IN THE BRASS NUT, POTENTIALLY ALLOWING PROPANE GAS TO LEAK.
The remedy: NORCOLD IS CONDUCTING THE NOTIFICATION AND REMEDY FOR THIS RECALL. DEALERS WILL REMOVE THE SWIVEL NUT/PRESSURE TAP COMPONENT AND REPLACE WITH A REMEDY KIT.

THE VEHICLE IS A TRUCK CAMPER (SLIDE-IN, CABOVER TYPE). 1998 FLEETWOOD/CARIBOU 11G. THE MAIN FRAME OF THIS VEHICLE IS WOOD. THE WOOD ROTTED AROUND THE EYEBOLTS THAT SECURE IT TO THE TRUCK COMING LOOSE AND NEARLY LOSING IT FROM THE TRUCK A HIGHWAY SPEED. I HAVE REPLACED SOME OF THE WOOD AND I AM HAVING A MACHINE SHOP FABRICATE SOME RE-ENFORCING METAL. I FEEL THIS IS A DANGEROUS DESIGN FLAW AND SHOULD BE RECALLED AND COMPENSATED FOR BY THE MANUFACTURER. I HAVE E-MAILED THEM AS THEY NO LONGER MAKE THIS MODEL. *TR

THE ORIGINAL TIRES ON THE TRAILER WERE REPLACED DUE TO EXCESSIVE WEAR, THE MANUFACTURER AND THE TIRE DEALER HAVE CONFLICTING INFLATION RATES, CONSUMER IS NOT SATISFIED WITH OVER INFLATING THE TIRES (TIRE MAKE/MODEL NOT PROVIDED). *MJS

BROUGHT TRAILER USED. ROOF OF TRAILER WAS SAGGING VERY BADLY. TOOK TRAILER BACK TO DEALER. MECHANIC INDICATD STRUCTURE OF TRAILER WAS DEFECTIVE. PLACEDA BAR INSIDE OF ROOF TO HOLD IT UP WAS ALSO SAGGING. MANUFACTURER WILL NOT HONOR WARRANTY DUE TO BEING A USED TRAILER.*AK
