Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Fleetwood Gear Box, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FLEETWOOD CHEYENNE (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CABLE THAT PROVIDES POWER TO THE ELECTRIC BRAKES HAS FAILED DUE TO THE ROUTER THAT RUNS OVER THE AXLES AND THE VEHICLE'S FRAME. AS A RESULT, THE BRAKES HAVE FAILED ALSO. THE VEHICLE STRUCK A HARD BUMP IN THE ROAD, WHICH PUSHED THE AXLES UP TO THE FRAME AND CAUSED THE CABLE TO SEVER. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT HAS NOT YET RESPONDED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 2,000. NO OTHER VEHICLE INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED.

ON 12/23/06 A WEEKEND WARRIOR TRAILER ROLLED OVER IN COLTON, CA ON THE SOUTHBOUND 215 NEAR WASHINGTON EXIT, IN FRONT OF THE GIANT RV DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. I AM IN THE RV INDUSTRY, SO CONTACTED THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO MAKE THEM AWARE. THEY INDICATED IN A LATER CONVERSATION THEY DO NOT REPORT TO NHTSA ON THE TREAD ACT WHEN I SAW ONE OF THE PEOPLE AT AN INDUSTRY EVENT, AND THIS UNIT HAS A KNOWN FAILURE FOR A LIGHT TONGUE, CAUSING ROLL OVERS. NHTSA NEEDED TO ENFORCE TREAD OR MORE PEOPLE CAN GET HURT. AT LEAST ONE PERSON WENT TO THE HOSPITAL FROM THIS ROLLOVER , THE WIFE. THIS UNIT WAS A WEEKEND WARRIOR TRAILER, THEY WERE NOT LISTED ON YOUR SELECTION EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE THE LARGEST TOY BOX RV MAKER IN THE US. THIS WAS NOT A FLEETWOOD, BUT ITWAS THE SAME TYPE OF TRAILER AS THE INFORMATION BELOW.*AK
