What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Fleetwood Mallard, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WIFE AND I LEFT FOR FLORIDA MARCH 12, 2009 TOWING 30 FT CAMPER. WE ESTIMATE TO HAVE LESS THAN 3,000 MILES ON "TOW MASTER V" TIRES. WE PURCHASED THE CAMPER NEW IN JULY 2007. I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE COLD AT 45 P.S.I BEFORE WE LEFT HOME. IT WAS A CLEAR, WARM, SUNNY DAY. APPROXIMATELY FOUR (4) HOURS INTO THE TRIP, JUST IN FLORIDA, TRAVELING AT A SPEED OF 62 M.P.H. WE EXPERIENCED A BLOW OUT ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CAMPER, FRONT TIRE. I DID NOT HIT ANY OBJECT IN THE ROADWAY. THERE WAS TREAD SEPARATION AND IT WAS LIKE THE SECTION WITH ALL THE TREAD FROM SIDE TO SIDE STARTED FLAPPING. I STOPPED IMMEDIATELY, WITHIN 300 FEET. WE WERE APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET FROM A REST AREA SO I VERY SLOWLY TOWED THE CAMPER INTO THE FIRST PARKING SPOT AND STOPPED. THIS IS THE ONLY TIRE FAILURE WE HAVE INCURRED AND I CANNOT EXPLAIN WHY THE TIRE FAILED. I HAVE NOT YET BEEN ABLE TO CONTACT THE CAMPER SALES WHERE WE PURCHASED THE CAMPER BUT I WILL. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
