2006 Fleetwood Southwind Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2006 Fleetwood Southwind, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

ALL OF THE WINDOWS FOG INTERNALLY BETWEEN THE DOUBLE PANE GLASS WINDOWS, CAUSING EXTREME POOR VISIBILITY. THE FRONT PASSENGER WINDOW IS THE WORST, CAUSING EXTREME POOR VISIBILITY ESPECIALLY WHEN CHANGING LANES AND MAKING RIGHT TURNS. WE ARE UNABLE TO SEE THE OUTSIDE PASSENGER SIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR CLEARLY! THIS POOR VISIBILITY HAS ALMOST CAUSED US NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS INVOLVING OTHER VEHICLES/BIKE RIDERS DUE TO THE INABILITY TO SEE THROUGH THE FOGGY WINDOWS. BECAUSE THE FOG IS INSIDE THE DOUBLE PANE, THERE IS NO WAY POSSIBLE TO CLEAN THEM! THE FOGGY WINDOWS BEGAN SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING IT IN 2006. THE WINDOW FOG HAS BEEN INCREASING EVERY YEAR TO THE POINT WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THEM REMOVED TO BE CLEANED OR REPLACED WHICH WILL BE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE! THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DESIGN FLAW! IT COULD POSSIBLY BE DUE TO POOR SEALING!?? ## VIN PASSED ## FLEET WOOD SOUTHWIND 2006 ## *JB
