2003 Fleetwood Terry Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE SAMSUNG MICROWAVE MODEL MRS5492 IN MY 2003 TERRY MODEL 722F CAUGHT ON FIRE WHILE I WAS CHARGING THE BATTERY. CAUSING EXTENSIVE SMOKE AND FIRE DAMAGE TO MY TRAILER. I BOUGHT THIS TRAILER NEW IN 2003 AND HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ON THE WEB I CAME ACROSS THE RECALL FOR THIS SAME ISSUE AT THE NHTSA WEB SITE CAMPAIGN NUMBER IS 03E044000. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BECAUSE I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED BY FLEETWOOD, BAYDOS RV . THE DEALER WHO SOLD ME THE TRAILER, OR SAMSUNG. THIS FIRE HAPPENED WHILE THE TRAILER WAS PARKED NEXT TO MY HOUSE AND IF IT HAD NOT WENT OUT ON ITS OWN IT COULD HAVE BURNED MY HOME AND MY NEIGHBORS HOME. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT RECOURSE I HAVE GETTING REIMBURSED FOR THE ISSUES I HAVE HAD. *TR UPDATED 05/16/13

THIS VEHICLE IS A MOBILE HOME EQUIPPED WITH A SAMSUNG MICROWAVE OVEN. HOWEVER, THERE IS A RECALL ON THE MICROWAVE OVEN, BUT THIS MODEL# MR1031WB IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ALTHOUGH IT HAS THE SAME EXACT PROBLEMS AS THOSE THAT ARE LISTED IN THE RECALL. *AK *MR

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
