THE BRAKING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO FADE AND EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. DEALER CANNOT DETERMINE PROBLEM. *AK
THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM, DOES NOT ENGAGE TO PREVENT REAR BRAKES FROM LOCKING UP WHEN NEEDED.

WHILE TRAVELING ONTO BRIDGE THE VEHICLE ENCOUNTED BLACK ICE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO VEER INTO THE OPPOSITE LANE OF TRAFFIC THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT. THE VEHICLE INPACTED THE BRIDGE ON THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER AND CORNER PANEL AT APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MILES PER HOUR. THE VEHICLE THROTTLE JAMMED FULL OPEN CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCERLERATE. THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER EDGE WAS WEDGED INTO THE TIRE RENDERING STERRING CONTROL MINIMUMAL. THE DRIVER COULD NOT GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP USING THE BRAKES, THE COLLISION SHUT OFF FOR THE FUEL DID NOT OPERATE. *AKTHE VEHICLE TRAVELLED APPROXIMATED .2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD BEFORE VERRING OFF INTO AN EMBANKMENT. THE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO SHUT OFF THE ENGINE AT THAT TIME.
THE FUEL FILLER TUBE HAS CRACKED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LEAK FUEL, WHICH COULD CAUSE A FIRE IN VEHICLE. DEALER HAS REPAIRED VEHICLE. *AK

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1992 FORD CLUB WAGON. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE VIBRATED AND THEN STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE RESTARTED ITSELF, BUT SHUT OFF AGAIN. THE CONTACT TOOK HER VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT HER IGNITION MODULE FAILED. THE MODULE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED WEEKS LATER. THE CONTACT FILED A FORMAL COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE POWERTRAIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 117,141.
IGNITION SWITCH MALFUCNTIONED TWICE, CAUSING ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS TO FAIL. ALSO, NO HEADLIGHTS/TAIL LIGHTS, WHICH AFFECTS VISIBILITY AND MAY RESULT IN A CRASH. DEALER CANNOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. *AK
