1991 Ford Crown Victoria Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1991 Ford Crown Victoria, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

YOUR SELECTION OPTIONS DO NOT HAVE THE YEAR OF THE CAR, MAKE, MODEL, TIRE SIZE OR TIRE MODEL SO I FILLED SOMETHING IN TO ALLOW ME TO GO FURTHER ON YOUR OPTIONS RIGHT REAR TIRE WENT FLAT ON MY 1938 STUDEBAKER STATE COMMANDER. I WAS DOING APPROXIMATELY 35-40 MILES PER HOUR. I DID NOT HIT ANY POT HOLES OR GET A PUNCTURE. THE INSIDE CORD SEPARATED FROM THE REST OF THE TIRE AND SHREDDED THE INNER TUBE. I CONTACTED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER, MCCREARY TIRE & RUBBER BUT HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE FROM THEM. THIS IS A GENERAL TIRE BRAND AND THE JET AIR MODEL. THE TIRE NUMBER IS CYWMC4D82211. THE TIRE SIZE IS 6.00 X 16. I REALIZE THE TIRE IS SIX YEARS OLD BUT IT ONLY HAS 2000 MILES ON IT AND I AM WORRIED THE OTHER TIRES ON THE CAR CAN HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM HAPPEN TOO THEM. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THIS IS A DEFECT ON A SINGLE TIRE OR IS THIS A MFG RUN PROBLEM? THREE POLICE OFFICERS PULLED UP BEHIND ME PUT ON THERE SAFETY LIGHTS AND THEN CHANGED THE TIRE FOR ME. I'M A 71 YEAR OLD DISABLED VET.
