TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 FORD F-350 SD. THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT BUCKLE INDEPENDENTLY UNLATCHED. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V286000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000. DRIVER SEAT BELT. SEAT BELT INADVERTENTLY COMES LOOSE. MAY STAY FASTEN FOR FIVE MINUTES OR SOMETIMES AND HOUR THEN WITH NO PRESSURE APPLIED TO BELT IT JUST SNAPS LOOSE. FORD HAD A RECALL BUT THEY CLAIM MY DATE OF MANUFACTURE IS NOT COVERED. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FORD AND CARRIED MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER BUT THEY OFFERED NO RESOLUTION EXCEPT SEAT BELTS WEAR OUT. I DON'T THINK THEY SHOULD WEAR OUT AFTER 38,000 MILES. *TR

THERE IS A SEAT BELT RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE A 2001 FORD F-350 MANUFACTURED IN THE KENTUCKY TRUCK PLANT. THE RECALL NUMBER IS 01V227001. I HAVE TALKED TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER ANTELOPE VALLEY FORD, AND TO FORD CUSTOMER CARE. THEY BOTH TELL ME THERE IS NO SUCH RECALL. MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT IS CONTINUALLY FAILING TO REMAIN LATCHED, AND FORD IS NOT WILLING TO REPAIR THE ITEM UNDER THE RECALL NOTICE. *NM
